THE ROLE OF QFD IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL MANAGEMENT TOOLS RANGE AND ITS PRACTICE BY SMEs IN A BRASILIAN CLUSTER

The QFD Quality Function Deployment technique large scope of application, has in this article, an approach based on how it is connected within the Technological Management Tools (TM Tools) range elected by the authors. Market Analysis, Technology Forecast, Benchmarking, Teambuilding, Networking, Creativity, Change management and others tools, depends strongly for its success. Employees involvement is added whether as a corporate philosophy practice and management attitude. This paper shows how these techniques and tools are QFD related, and supports each other in TM tool. As well, a survey analysis specially made for this paper based on an industrial cluster in a medium city of Brazil, measures how they are connected and practiced QFD in daily managers' routines and dissemination degree.
